We are all spiritual beings and have intrinsic innate plumb lines.
We all also have unbearable ignorance in us. There is actually much to navigate in this life. And choices present themselves and when they do the choices potentially direct or re-direct the rest of our lives.
So really we actually do have some control over the path.
I guess what I am trying to say is that life is as simple or as complicated as you choose to make it and within us lies a lot of intrinsic value as well as rubbish and we somehow have to sift out the rubbish and learn to trust the truth the internal plumbline that longs to direct our hearts and souls in a direction of fulfilment.
And to this end, we can really only be true to self if we are willing to be honest.
We celebrated world diabetes day this past wednesday and Diabetes in essence, especially type 1 offers and real deal opportunity for a whole family to get honest about a lot. A curse in essence which sometimes turns into a blessing in relation to facing challenges and rising in a dignified way above them.
In daily confronting a disease like diabetes that challenges you to eat healthily and responsibly, inject correctly, pre-empt highs and lows and at the same time fight the chronic disease fatigue.
The irony is if you manage your diabetes well you outlive the rest of the population due to preventing things like heart disease etc. I wish it were so simple with our psyche. Diabetes is a special challenge to the psyche and so many patients battle this daily and win.
