The role of Biokinetics in Wellness

Although wellness is on the tip of everyone’s tongue at the moment, it is concerning that people STILL live a destructive life! We smoke, drink, have terrible eating habits and don’t exercise and now expect that medical care will bail us out of our trouble!

NO!

Wellness is a continuous active process and choice! Wellness is a proactive commitment!

Wellness is a way of life!

You get different dimension of Wellness and there is beneficial advantages of being physically active in each dimension:

  1. Physical Dimension (functional actions of the body)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Reduces aging process, risk of coronary heart disease, Osteoporosis
    • Improves energy, vitality, posture, muscle strength and endurance, flexibility
    • Keeps weight and physical appearance in check
  1. Emotional Dimension (ability to laugh, enjoy life and adapt to chance and stress)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Reduces tension and mood swings and manages stress
    • Improves self-esteem
    • Promote psychological wellbeing
  1. Intellectual Dimension (use of mental capacity; urge to keep learning and develop creative stimulating thoughts)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Improves awareness and concentration
    • Motivates to better personal habits
    • Stimulates creative thoughts
  1. Social Dimension (to ability to get along with others)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Improves relationships with family and friends
    • Increases chances for social meetings
  1. Spiritual Dimension (the meaning of life; religion, principals and values)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Develop appreciation for body-mind connection and health
    • Builds compassion for the less fortunate
  1. Environmental Dimension (preservation of fauna and flora and natural resources for future generations)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Develop appreciation for healthy air and water
    • Increases interest in recycling and preservation of resources for the future and removal of toxins and chemicals from nutrition
  1. Career Dimension (your choice of a self-enriching career with internal and external rewards)

Advantages with being physically active:

    • Decrease in absenteeism and medical expenses
    • Increase in productivity and network opportunities

There you have it; exercise and be WELL!
